... has always mattered.  Since the first 'inception' !, of the original "King Kong (1933)", this biggest of all movie icon, has been recreated, revived repeatedly by the 'worshippers', or simply his fans.

As for his counterpart, the Japanese film maker wanted to follow Kong's footsteps in 1956, and made more than twenty sequels and spin-offs afterwards.  The last domestic production, "Shin Godzilla (2016)" was nominated for Japan Academy Award Best Picture.
