CinemaCon 2026

The venue is Las Vegas, and it is convention of all the movie business foretold each year, the showcases consist of new production announcement, and the fans gather for star gazing.  It is CinemaCon 2026: Kicked-off from April 13th, Monday.






...and there already is major unveiling, by "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" preview, before July 31st opening, the studio CEO & Chairman introduces Tom Holland's fourth installment for the first time.







And about 24 hours later, "Godzilla Minus Zero" footage was revealed, as the previous 'Minus One' director, the winner of Best Visual Effects Oscar, taking its helm again.  Along with "DUNE III" first seven minutes showing, "Practical Magic 2" & "Spaceball 2" were brought on !

Film industry 2020 release schedule shake-up

Since the Disney may hold "Mulan" schedule entirely off from theatrical release, perhaps in US and Europe, it may only rely on streaming.  Or, it could be shown in Asian countries, and be simply re-scheduled for later dates.

And that's even affecting the studio's plan of new "STAR WARS" series, scheduled every X'mas seasons, launching from 2023.

Plus "Avatar" sequels, from part 2, Dec. 16, 2022, is now foreseeing through "5" in 2028.

In theaters, but the audience in ?

This September 2020, as the film productions, or whole industry, must draw large ticket revenues, with such titles as Marvel Entertainments' "The New Mutants".

But with theater safety measures still on, masks, distance seating, could they draw big crowd ?

As "Black Widow" officially pushed back to November 6 (Fri.) 2020 opening, the movie business is not quite shifting towards streaming.  Or, is it ?  The answer is up to you.  The audience.

California Shut Down: Film & Television Production Affected

Not just the theater re-closure.  But the studios are forced out of the shooting locations, and schedules.

Amazon Studios' "Carnival Row" filming's suspended in Czech Republic, new "Batwoman" production is worked in British Columbia.  It's not Hollywood any longer, is it ?

Another anticipating upcoming movie, "The King's Man" is scheduled September 18th (Fri.) release.  All fans could do, to wait & check.  Since they even prefer enjoy movies at home, during the public shutdown...

Virtual Film Festival: BFI announced London Oct. Event on Cyber

British Film Institute revealed the premiere of Oct.7-18 London Film Festival 2020 would be delivered digitally.

With the difficulty of attendance to London's Southbank venue.  Simply audiences do not have to travel.
Following the 73rd Cannes Film Festival's cancellation/postponement to next year, May 2021.

Still have a surge, and lockdowns in parts of the world.

France has a dominant hit already, 2020; "De Gaulle"

Made in 2019, it was more than inspired by Gary Oldman's Winston Churchill in "Darkest Hour", it is almost competitive, from the French counterpart.media
And it's not just their star, Lambert Wilson, who portrays the lead, but the director, Gabriel Le Bomin, and the biopic idea of Charles De Gaulle, freed the nation from Germany through World War II.  Since its release in April, France Box Office is still revved with mixed reviews...

As the world net traffic is surging, the film industry itself is shifting.  Even the theater chain is providing on- demand services from their sites.

To enjoy the family entertainment, such as Disney works, you don't have to go to theaters.  On-line, anywhere.  Even current productions are on straight track to streaming platforms.  The test case was NETFLIX "The Irishman (2019)".  Are you pro or con ?
