So has concluded 79th Cannes Film Festival on May 23, 2026, the top prized film, Palm d'Or was won by Romanian director, Christian Mungiu's "Fjord", Romanian and Norwegian couple drama, the family life journey, into fjord village.

Also the grand prize went to Russian film "Minotaur", corruption exposed from the government, the acceptance speech was notably full of messages to end the war.  The year's line-ups to the selections, reflect the call of the world.

German director's Bulgaria set drama "The Dreamed Adventure" was honored as the Grand Jury prize, while the best screenplay was awarded to a French "A Man Of His Time (Notre Salut)", early stage resistance in World War II France.
