Wanna Live Forever

She starred herself, and carried her song literally into "Fame (1980)" and the Academy Award for Best Original Song, along with Alan Parker's direction.  "Fame" was made into television series, Irene Cara's name was remembered as much as her character's name  Coco Hernandez.

Since "Fame" became icon & classic in the genre of music and dance film, it was 'West Side Story' of the 80's.  But then, next Irene's super hit was a milestone and legend, "FLASHDANCE" and the title song "What a Feeling", also an Oscar winner.

And a multiple Grammy Award Winner, influenced music scenes tremendously later with her voice.  Her life ended unexpectedly short, at the age of 63, but her songs would be remembered, and live forever.
