And her entire career spun around almost eight decades.  It started from her debut film, George Cukor's "Gaslight (1944)", along with Ingrid Bergman, Charles Boyer, which brought Angela Lansbury, her 1st Oscar nomination, at the age of seventeen.

But Dame Angela Lansbury's most beloved character must be Mrs. Jessica Fletcher from the TV series "Murder, She Wrote", she's a mystery writer herself, and a detective, Miss Marple of America, and one of the most successful, run from 1984 to 1996.

Her film appearances are as memorable also, from "Manchurian Candidate (1955)", which garnered her third Academy Award nomination, to "Death on the Nile (1978)", but she didn't have to appear, to star in "Beauty and the Beast (1991)", "Anastasia (1997)". after nearly 97 years of her life, she is resting in peace.
