And this centennial is a celebration to the art world.  Not only for the British Broadcasting.  BBC contributed to the world of television & film art, keeps providing the valuable, vibrant, new forefront of works.

Since its inauguration in 1922, initial radio programs have presented the music, comedy and drama, 'TV service' from 1936, has been the media center of entertainment, from 1960, Shakespeare plays were regularly produced, showing the future stars, Sean Connery, Judi Dench.

Arguably the longest running, therefore most successful drama series, "Doctor Who"'s very first episode debuted in November 23, 1963, and still coming up with the latest.  The pioneer, and the best, celebrating the century.  And we still like to see the next.
