Jennifer Hudson Revived. Aretha Franklin Revived.

It's been 14 years, since Jennifer Hudson won the Best Supporting Actress honor at 79th Academy Awards in 2007, the former 'American Idol' star yet again has the role of her life.  As best as "Dreamgirls".  The film fans cannot agree more, foreseeing, and perhaps reminiscing, Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles.

Jennifer Hudson may well be born to play the title role, Aretha Franklin, and for the entire project.  And Aretha 'The Queen of Soul" Franklin, is reincarnated again since the 2019 documentary film "Amazing Grace" originally shot by Sydney Pollack in 1972.  

It could be subtitled 'The Gospel According to Aretha' ?  "Respect" finally set to have opening date August 13 (Fri.) after the months of delay.
