Ridley Scott goes back to 'the duel'.

20th Century Studios may keep the Christmas 2020 opening for his latest period epic, "The Last Duel", based on Eric Jager's novel about a Norman knight, under the King Charles VI, in 14th century France, with Matt Damon, Jodie Comer, Ben Affleck.

After all, Ridley Scott's debut film was 'The Duellists" (1977), Keith Carradine and Harvey Keitel characters' heroic saga in Napoleonic epoch, out of Joseph Conrad's short novel, 'The Duel'.  It does not have to be labelled, 'cult' classic, but set the hallmark of the director's caliber in the history.

The latest one must be in the Oscar contention 2021.
