79th Tony Awards

The highlight of the Tony ceremony 2026, could be said the host herself, Pink, may well be an unusual choice, since she has never been a Broadway performer, but her tribute, rendition, from the opening musical numbers; Perfect !

"Death of a Salesman" walked away with most wins, at the 79th annual event, six trophies, "Schmigadoon!" adapted from series, was the best musical, usual suspect, "Ragtime" with four, includes the best revival of a musical.

And the most appropriate, entertainment fans could say, John Lithgow accepting the best actor award from Roald Dahl's play "Giant", Leslie Manvill from "Oedipus".  Respect paid for late playwrite, Tom Stoppard, in remembrance.
