The Saintly

She won her best supporting Academy Awards from "On the Waterfront", Elia Kazan directed 1954 film, even though in black and white, Eva Marie Saint's character is luminous, colorful on screen.

Opposite Marlon Brando's dock worker over New York waterfront, her angelic performance seemed to brighten the entire story, that honored her with the award.  Even when she was playing a mysterious part in Hitchcock's, she looked lovely.

Probably her most acclaimed work, "North by Northwest", usually makes one of the greatest films of the century.  Eva Marie Saint was such a classic figure throughout the movie history.  That saintly goes to heaven at the age of 102.
