Stars do fall.  2024 was a year, the world of cinema has lost Alain Delon, his passing is monumental, period epic, so was his placement, star value, in the history of films.

His debut, yet may be his best, as well as on top of the genre in 'Noir', 'Thriller', 'Pre-New Wave French Cinema', "Plein Soleil", simply overwhelms the remake, "The Talented Mr. Ripley".

Almost entire works of him, are timeless masterpieces, vintage of world classics, he may have pioneered, created the path, now appropriately, deservedly, restored in high definition collection.
