Honorary Oscars

Ahead of awards season kick-off, 15th annual Governors' Awards ceremony celebrated notably the contribution of works behind the camera, the Honorary Oscar was given to late Quincy Jones.

The Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences recognized the posthumous recipient, Quincy Jones' score to the film world, aptly given just two weeks after his passing.

Equally, tributes were made to casting director, Juliet Taylor, the Irvin G. Thalberg Award was handed out to Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, for establishing the ever lasting James Bond franchise.
