More Than Haunting...

Half a century ago, a film titled "The Exorcist" opened and shocked the world.  And still considered to be the greatest 'horror' film ever made over the history of cinema.  William Friedkin could not live to see the 50th anniversary, Oct. 13th release, of "The Exorcist: Believer".

The new film is supposed to be a standard sequel to the 1973 original, Regan's mother, Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn), would battle the demon spirit again.  But Friedkin himself did not wish to be remembered as the 'cult' genre director.

His 1971 "French Connection" won the best picture Oscar, "Rosemary's Baby (1968)" was made more of psychological drama.  Movie fans wished him direct more, longer.  William Friedkin was 87 years of age.
