Ambitious Act

As well as her political ambition, that is, Glenda Jackson achieved through her acting career path, won two Oscars, three Emmys, two BAFTAs, and a Tony, much more than any others could accomplish in her life as an actress spanned six decades, through her 87 years life.

Her first Oscar was 1969's, Ken Russell adaptation of D. H. Lawrence novel, "Women in Love", she has played Queen Elizabeth I, in 1971, "Mary, Queen of Scotts", starred on stage, Henrik Ibsen's "Hedda Gabbler" under the direction of Trevor Nun.  But 1992, she became a Labour parliamentary canditate.

Only next to Ronald Reagan, or Arnold Schwartzenegger !  She cannot be compared to, Glenda Jackson was a 'Touch of Class' herself, and a class act, of British entertainment and politics.
