Speaking of British Academy's best film voting of German "ALL Quiet on the Western Front", best actress, Cate Blanchett, playing 'Lydia Tar', a woman conductor of German orchestra, the German movie front, is all but quiet.

73rd Berlin Film Festival awarded Honorary Golden Bear to Stephen Spielberg Feb.21, 2023.  And the German director regular to the Berlinale, Christian Petzold's "Afire" back in International Competition.

And the Germany's own acclaimed woman director, Margarethe Von Trotte's "Ingeborg Bachmann; Journey Into the Desert", a story of an Austrian poet and author, starring Vicky Krieps, is a much anticipated entry this 2023.
