Somewhat surprising news, the record, this year, "Minions: the Rise of Gru" broke the margin, as the most successful Independence Day movie ever, topping the previous "TRANSFORMERS" gross.  Perhaps even more surprising, "Maverick" became the biggest Tom Cruise hit titles ever.

And the summer's not over yet, July 8th (Fri.) world-wide release of "THOR: Love & Thunder", reviewed well as it's following "Avengers: Endgame" as Marvel Cinematic Universe's action comedy.  The year's not over yet.
