Johnny Depp's Toughest Work; Japan's Industrial Genocide. "Minamata"

Based on a true horrific case of Japan's south-western coast city of Minamata, in 1960's, mercury laden waste poisoned the river, shore, and citizens.Minami Hinase and Johnny Depp in Minamata.

Depp plays the real LIFE magazine photo-journalist, tried to cover paralysed, disfigured victims.
The film opened with Berlin Film Festival in Feb. 2020.  Still the global environmental issue could carry through.
