Berlinale 2026

76th annual Berlin Film Festival opening ceremony kicked-off Feb. 12 by the competition jury president, Wim Wenders, showing the premieres of world cinemas, and honorary Golden Bear recipient, Michelle Yeoh.







It is in-between of festival season, after Sundance and before the Oscars, indeed Sundance's Grand Jury Prize Drama winner "Josephine" with Channing Tatum is displayed, among the star-studded showcases, Isabelle Huppert's "Blood Countess".









22 films are vying for the year's Best Film awards, to be announced on Feb. 21, favorites are "Queen at Sea" featuring Juliette Binoche, German period piece "Rose" set in early 17th century village, starring Sandra Huller.
